Many of you are familiar with the colour-coded energy labels attached to TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, and many other products.
Did you know, from 18th March 2021, many products will require a new style energy label? It looks similar to the previous one with the same colour-coded scale. There are differences and enhancements.
Enhancements
A range of improvements has been made to the energy label. This enables greater transparency for consumers and introduces a clearer, standardised scale for all products.
What Products Are Affected?
A wide range of products will require new labels:
Other products, including air conditioners, tumble dryers, vacuum cleaners, water heaters, etc will use the new label as soon as the UK regulations have been approved and come into force (likely 2022).
Benefits
As products became more efficient the A+, A++, and A+++ ratings were introduced. Many new products are placed into the A, A+, A++, and A+++ ratings making it more difficult to differentiate between the more efficient products.
This scale has been replaced with a new scale going from A to G with no pluses. This should allow you to make a more informed choice based on the environmental impact and running costs of the product you wish to purchase.
Transition Period
Between 1st November 2020 and 28th February 2021, both old and new labels may have been shown on products. Retailers have until 18th March 2021 to display the new style label. Old style labels must be removed by this date.
Products already being sold before 1st November 2020, but no longer placed on the GB market after this date (products being phased out), will not require the new label. These products cannot be sold with the old label after 30th November 2021.
Light sources will transition to the new label from September 2021.
Old Versus New Label
QR-Code
The upper-right corner of the label will have a QR code. This will allow you to access useful product information.
A Does Not Equal A
You should not compare old and new label ratings. An A-rated product on the previous scale will likely correspond to a B or a C on the new scale. This allows for more energy-efficient products in the future.
Pictograms
The new labelling scheme will continue to display pictograms highlighting product features. Some will be slightly adapted and new ones introduced.
The template for each product type listing main enhancements, the layout, and associated pictograms is shown below. Click to expand for further information.

TVs and electronic displays
Summary
The new style energy labels provide greater clarity and a better understanding of product energy efficiency. They will encourage manufacturers to innovate and bring more efficient products to market. This will provide benefits including lower running costs, reduced environmental impact, and quieter products.

Hi!
I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a
